Encore! Encore! Boca House tugs at the heartstrings a bit because it was the fourth time this family has contracted with me to design their home interior. We met years ago when they purchased a model unit I designed. They must have loved it because they’ve asked for my help with every home thereafter. I am always flattered and honored by my legacy clients.
And, of course, we accomplished the luxury house remodel for their growing family on time and on budget, even given only eight weeks to complete our work from their closing date. They knew they could count us, and we came through again.
The home was built by GL Homes, one of the top-ranking homebuilders nationally. So, we had good bones to work with and quickly started by helping our client make selections for all flooring, hard surfaces, bathrooms, plumbing, kitchens, and baths. Other than that, the home came with white walls as a blank canvas.
We placed a fireplace element in the living room made of imported, book-matched Italian marble, as well as a secondary walk-up bar with an icemaker. Hand-selected wood veneer and custom finishes were the final touch throughout.
Our design encompassed our sought-after, unique style of custom millwork with built-ins for the living room and home office, a full-service bar for the cocktail lounge, and paneling in the Master Bedroom with an en suite desk area in the vestibule.
Most ceilings heights in the home began at 14 feet. It was the perfect opportunity to design the full-height pilasters in the entry foyer and dining area with lacquered reeds with white oak accents, creating a unique look.
Custom designed and made-to-order luxury light fixtures were purchased for almost every room to properly balance the volume of the spaces. Crystal, hand-applied French plaster, rubbed-aged bronze, blown opal glass, and blackened steel are just some of the finishes designed into the fixtures.
Fully installed with custom-designed bedding, hand-selected artwork, and curated accessories brought the home to completion. Our client arranged for their family's personal belongings to be moved in and they happily slept in their home the first day after our completion.
